Welcome to the Tang lab at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Cellular motion is driven and controlled by precise cytoskeletal mechanisms at the right time and at the right place. These mechanisms are often hijacked by disease. Our lab focuses on how actin cytoskeleton is regulated at molecular scale in cells.

We aim to understand how discrete biochemical activities of molecules occur inside of a cell and how cytoskeletal proteins are regulated and propagated from nanoscale to microscales.

We employ multi-disciplinary methodologies from single molecule biophysics to large scale cell biology to tackle our questions.
